Ombudsman Professor Ljubinko Mitrović with CoE representatives on setting up preventive mechanism in Bosnia and Herzegovina

Ombudsman of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Professor Ljubinko Mitrović, held an online meeting today with Marica Bender of the Council of Europe Project Team, during which they discussed setting up a Preventive Mechanism in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

In the meeting, they exchanged information about the activities taken so far and expressed the expectation of having this independent mechanism put into operation as soon as possible.

The Council of Europe representatives welcomed the efforts made by IHROBiH to set up the Prevention Mechanism, and they expressed the readiness to provide assistance to IHROBIH on expert and technical levels.

During the meeting, they also discussed other Council of Europe projects, primarily all projects concerning correctional facilities and police and security agencies, and the need to implement new projects dealing with labour issues and security agency staff training.

This is an activity of Ombudsman Professor Ljubinko Mitrović.
