Ombudsman dr. Jasminka Džumhur at the panel discussion on the importance of media freedom and protection of journalists' independence

Ombudsman of Bosnia and Herzegovina dr. Jasminka Džumhur is participating in a panel discussion on the importance of media freedom and protection of the independence of journalists organized by the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands on the occasion of the International Human Rights Day in China Meeting Point in Sarajevo.

The discussion is moderated by the Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Bosnia and Herzegovina Jan Waltmans, and in addition to the Ombudsman Džumhur, the panel includes Boro Kontić from Mediacentar and award-winning journalist Nermina Kuloglija (BIRN).

The panel discussion will be preceded by a screening of the film Hiljadu posjekotina (A Thousand Cuts), an award-winning documentary about Maria Ressi, a persistent and courageous Filipino journalist who was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize this year, along with a number of other accolades in the previous decade (along with Dmitry Murat).

It is about the activity of the ombudswoman dr. Jasminka Džumhur.
