The Ombudsman dr. Jasminka Džumhur spoke with the Director of the Institute for Democracy and Human Rights of Azerbaijan and a consultant in the diplomatic representation of Azerbaijan in Bosnia and Herzegovina

On 07/11/2017 in the premises of the Regional Office of the Ombudsman Institution in Sarajevo, there was a meeting of the Ombudsman of Bosnia and Herzegovina dr. Jasminka Džumhur and Director of the Institute for Democracy and Human Rights of Azerbaijan, dr. Ahmada Shadinova and adviser in the diplomatic representation of Azerbaijan in Bosnia and Herzegovina Elnur A. Guliyev.

The meeting was organized in order to exchange experiences related to the protection and promotion of human rights, as well as possible forms of cooperation between the Institute for Democracy and Human Rights in Azerbaijan and the diplomatic representation of Azerbaijan and the Ombudsman Institution for Human Rights of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Dr. Ahmad Shadinov expressed readiness and willingness to establish cooperation with the institution of the Ombudsman, and stressed the importance of exchanging experiences in the field of human rights.

Ombudsmen dr. Jasminka Džumhur also expressed openness to cooperation, and invited representatives of the Institute and diplomatic representation to put in wrtting the way in which cooperation between institutions could be established.

Further, the guests are also acquainted with the conference organized by the Ombudsman Institution, which should be held in February, and it was agreed that they will be invited to participate in the conference.
