Ombudsperson Jasminka Džumhur Visits The Special Clinic Psychiatry Hospital – Jakeš

On 14 February 2017 Ombudsperson of Bosnia and Herzegovina Jasminka Džumhur, PhD with her associates paid a visit to the PHI Special Clinic Psychiatry Hospital in Modriča – Jakeš.

The aim of the visit is the assessment the human rights situation in the institutions accommodating persons with mental disorders, and a conversation with the leadership of the Hospital on current issues relating to the status and position of its beneficiaries. During the visit discussions with the beneficiaries about the living conditions and accommodation at the Hospital also took place.

Today’s visit of Ombudsperson Džumhur to „Jakeš“ is the last one of a series of visits to the institutions accommodating persons with intellectual disabilities mede as a preparation for a special report of the Ombudsman on the situation in the institutions accommodating these persons.
