Ombudswoman Jasminka Džumhur, gave a lecture at the Law faculty in Sarajevo

On Thursday, 13.10.2016 the Ombudswoman for Human Rights in Bosnia and Herzegovina, M.S. Jasminka Džumhur gave a lecture as part of the Clinic on the European Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms, entitled "Protection of human rights in the constitutional order of Bosnia and Herzegovina" at the Law Faculty in Sarajevo.

Ombudswoman Džumhur in her presentation special emphasis placed on the role and jurisdiction of the Constitutional Court in the protection of human rights, the process of human rights protection from writing appeals to the execution of the judgment, practical writing appeals with the students, the conditions of admissibility of the appeal before the Court, as well as the role, jurisdiction and procedure of protection of human rights before the Institution of Ombudsman for human rights of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the constitutional status of the European Convention for the protection of human rights in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the implementation of the Convention in the work of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the implementation of the Convention by the ordinary courts and the news from the case law of the Constitutional Court.

Given that this lecture opens the Clinic, the opening was attended by the Dean of the Law Faculty in Sarajevo, Prof. Dr. Borislav Petrović and the sub-Dean for International Cooperation, Prof. Meliha Povlakić.
