Press statement | 24.05.2016 Ombudsperson Jasminka Džumhur at a conference on the conflict related sexual violence dr. Jasminka Džumhur, ombudsman Ombudsperson of Bosnia and Herzegovina Mr.sci. Jasminka Džumhur will present experiences of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the role of the national human rights institutions at the conference to be held on 23 May 2016 in Kiev, Ukraine, under the “Conflict related sexual violence – lessons learned from Bosnia and Georgia" organized by the through the IASC Child Protection Sub Cluster, and Kvinna till Kvinna. The aim of the conference is to initiate discussion on conflict related sexual violence with reference to the conflict ongoing in Eastern Ukraine, and drafting of recommendations about the next steps to be taken in combating the conflict related sexual violence.
